On October 25, Aram Khachaturian’s piano works were performed in House-Museum of Aram Khachaturian. In the frames of the 6th Khachaturian International Festival the piano works of the great composer were presented to the audience by the professor Armine Grigoryan and the professor of the Latvia Academy of Music, the member of the Latvian Composers Union, PhD of Arts, Latvia’s honorary artist Raffi Kharajanyan. A. Grigoryan mentions, that they long have cooperated with R. Kharajanyan and had recitals in the frames of the duo AR-RA. The musicians performed together in various stages. Raffi Kharajanyan mentions that he is so glad to have the chance to perform in the frames of the Khacahturian Fetsival. The pianist is the author of the work “Piano Works by Aram Khachaturian”, released in 1973. “I had the honor and happiness to meet Khachaturian. Together we examined the handwritten version of the book, meanwhile the master helped me much with his advice. Khachaturian’s works contain national colors and are vividly reflected in his piano works” Khachaturian has the unique ability by means of piano format create the musical illusion of tar, qanun, and percussion instruments sound.
